AS A FRESHMAN IN 2007: Appeared in 19 games, starting one ... batted .286 with an RBI ... went 2-for-4 with an RBI in only start Feb. 19 against Utah ... went 2-for-2 and scored twice March 16 at UC Riverside ... singled in his only at-bat against Fresno State on Apr. 24 and at Nevada on May 8.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2006 graduate of Ocean View High School in Huntington Beach, Calif. ... played for Coach Aaron Kavanagh ... in 2004, 2005, and 2006 team was Goldenwest League Champions, and 2005 CIF Southern Section Champions ... as a junior was named 2005 All-League catcher ... managed CIF Championship team to a 1.91 ERA in 2005 ... as a senior in 2006 was named Goldenwest League MVP, All-CIF First Team, selected to the 2006 Orange County All-Star Team's Southern Squad, and was the Navy Student-Athlete Award winner ... in 2006 batted .444 in league, .373 overall, with three homeruns, six doubles, twenty RBI's, and 19 walks as a clean-up hitter ... threw out 79% of attempted base stealers ... also played on the SoCal Renegades, helping them win the Connie Mack State Championship ... qualified for 2006 Connie Mack World Series ... played with the Arizona Western Regional Champions.
