AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2007: Appeared in 25 games, starting four ... often used as a late-inning defensive replacement ... singled in his only at-bat March 11 at Fresno State ... singled at No. 12 Pepperdine on Apr. 21 ... started in left field and went 1-for-3 with an RBI against the Waves Apr. 22.

AS A FRESHMAN IN 2006: Appeared in seven games during the season ... walked and scored a run in his only plate appearance March 26 at Hawaii-Hilo ... singled and scored a run April 29 against Saint Mary's.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2005 graduate of Bellarmine College Prep in San Jose, Calif. ... played baseball for Gary Cunningham ... batted .392 with four home runs and 17 stolen bases his senior season as the Bells established a new CCS record with 34 wins that season ... named All-West Catholic Athletic League for his performance in 2005 ... batted .428 as part of the Santa Clara Red Sox, helping lead the team to the 2005 Palomino World Series title in Puerto Rico.
