SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Santa Clara men's cross country student-athlete Alex Miley was named the West Coast Conference Men's Runner of the Week on Tuesday.

Miley was honored after winning the individual title at the USF Invitational on Saturday. He ran the 8k in a time of 24:56.7. It was the team's first race of the season.

Miley was joined in the top-10 by teammate Dominic Baciocco who finished ninth in 25:17.8 to give the Broncos a strong start to the year.

Santa Clara is back on the course Friday, September 16 against Saint Mary's in Sunnyvale.
