Nicholas Russell Qualifies for NCAA Championships

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – With his 13th place finish at NCAA West Regionals yesterday, Nicholas Russell qualified for the NCAA Championships November 19 in Stillwater, Oklahoma.

Russell finished Friday's race with a time of 28:47.6, the top 10k finish in program history. The 13th place finish was also the highest at West Regionals by a Bronco. He held the previous record of 26th set last year.

Russell has been the top finisher in two events for the Broncos this season. He finished eighth in 24:20.5 at the Roy Griak Invitational as well as eighth at the West Coast Conference Championships. His finish at WCCs earned him First Team All-Conference honors.
