SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara women's soccer begins a stretch of four-straight road games Friday at 1 p.m. against No. 23 Michigan in South Bend, Ind. at the Notre Dame Invitational.
Last week, the Broncos went to No. 7 UCLA Thursday and fell 4-2 before bouncing back with a 2-1 home win over Washington State Sunday.
SERIES HISTORY
Santa Clara is 1-0 all-time against Michigan with the lone meeting coming in 2002. That year the Broncos beat the Wolverines 3-1 at home to advance to the College Cup.

THE BRONCOS
Julie Doyle and Maddy Gonzalez have both scored two goals for Santa Clara (2-2) while Kelsey Turnbow has a goal and two assists to tie for the team-lead with four points. Kellie Peay and Myah Baksh have also found the back of the net with Peay adding an assist. Maria Sanchez leads the team with three assists in four games.
Melissa Lowder started the first three games of the season and has made 13 saves for a .650 save percentage. Courtney Ogren started the last match and made two saves for a .667 save percentage.
THE WOLVERINES
Michigan (3-0-1) has picked up wins over Washington and Idaho State while drawing at Ole Miss. The Wolverines have outscored opponents 8-1 and outshot teams 71-53 with a 26-21 edge in shots on goal.
Taylor Timko leads the team with three goals and has added two assists for a team-high eight points. Brooke Cilley leads the team with five assists and is second with five points. Sarah Stratigakis has scored twice with three other players scoring once each.
Three goalkeepers have seen time in net with Sarah Jackson earning the most minutes. She has allowed one goal and made 14 saves for a .933 save percentage. Hillary Beall and Megan Hinz have both faced three shots without allowing a goal.
