SANTA CLARA, Calif. — Santa Clara volleyball announces the third and fourth members of its incoming recruiting class for the 2019-20 season, Claire Doud and Katie Lawton. Doud joins the Broncos from Archbishop Murphy High School and is from Tulalip, Washington. Lawton hails from Denver, Colorado and joins the Broncos from Denver East High School.
CLAIRE DOUD
Doud earned a Class 2A All-State Honorable Mention accolade while serving as a team captain and earning team MVP honors as a senior in 2018. She took home First Team All-WesCo 2A/3A honors in her junior and senior seasons.
Doud also plays softball and runs track & field for the Wildcats, including helping break the program record in the 4x100-meter relay. Her father, Pat, played football at Santa Clara.

KATIE LAWTON
Lawton earned first team all-league honors as a senior in 2018 and helped the Angels to their fourth straight 4A/5A Denver Prep League championship. Denver East reached the quarterfinals of the CHSAA State Volleyball Tournament and posted a top-10 finish in state during Lawton's junior and senior seasons, in which she served as a team captain.
