SANTA CLARA, Calif.- The Santa Clara University athletic department is pleased to announce that for the first time since the 2010 season, select Bronco baseball games will be called on the Broncos' online Game Central via Stretch internet. All eight broadcast will be done by a two-man student broadcast affiliated with Santa Clara's athletic department. The crew includes John Nash and Brandon Rebboah. In addition to the eight broadcasted games, all home games will have free video streaming via Game Central.

The broadcasts will ring in the helm of first-year head coach Dan O'Brien and the buzz of a new chapter to Bronco baseball.

"We're excited to have two passionate and talented Santa Clara students broadcast our games once again. We want people to fall in love with Bronco baseball and who better to help us do that than these two outstanding young men," said O'Brien about the radio broadcasts.

John Nash, a junior on the men's water polo team, will handle the play-by-play duties for all eight broadcast. Nash served as the Santa Clara women's basketball play-by-play broadcaster on a fill-in basis this past winter. Nash works as a student-assistant in the Athletic Department's Media Relations office, is the co-anchor of the Bronco Weekly Sports Wrap and has been chosen to work for WCCTV in Las Vegas from Feb. 28 - Mar. 5th.

Junior Brandon Rebboah will serve as the color commentator. Also a student-assistant in the Media Relations office, Rebboah has worked closely with the Bronco baseball program in a number of capacities including serving as the co-interim Sports Information Director last season. He also was a media assistant for Cal's Super Regional held at Santa Clara's Schott Stadium. This past summer, he was the writer of the All Summer Long series that chronicled Bronco baseball players' summer league experiences. Rebboah is also a Bellarmine graduate. 

"Brandon and I are very excited to have the opportunity to broadcast Santa Clara baseball this spring," said Nash. "The excitement around the new era of Bronco Baseball has been fantastic and we feel extremely lucky to be apart of it!"

Eight games will be broadcast during the 2011-12 season- four non-league games and four West Coast Conference contests. The first broadcast will be the home-opener February 24 against the University of Illinois-Chicago.
