A Promising Future for Nick Medeiros

A Promising Future for Nick Medeiros

SANTA CLARA, Calif.- Nick Medeiros' (NM) enthusiasm and confidence are very good signs for the upcoming 2015 baseball season. Santa Clara Broncos (SCB) is looking forward to supporting Medeiros and the Santa Clara baseball team as they kick off their first game of the season Fri., Feb. 13 against defending national champion and preseason No. 1 Vanderbilt.

SCB: What is something you'd like to make happen this 2015 season?

NM: The goal for this team is to win a championship. We have a special group of guys and we are looking to shock a lot of people.

SCB: Have you taken any classes at Santa Clara that you've felt contributed to your sport?

NM: Many of the business classes I have taken involve both leadership and competitiveness, which are huge components to our sport. It's always interesting to draw parallels between baseball and the business world.

SCB: Are you superstitious? Do you have any good luck charms?

NM: I believe luck is made by working hard and doing the right thing. As the great golfer Arnold Palmer said, "It's a funny thing, the more I practice, the luckier I get".

SCB: What are some of the highlights of this season that your fans should know about and look forward to?

NM: I think fans should look forward to watching us compete. This group is relentless and will catch a lot of people off guard. We hope to get as much support as we can this year and we hope to see a packed Schott Stadium on February 20th for opening night.

Good luck to Medeiros and the rest of the Santa Clara baseball team! Go Broncos!
