The Broncos (8-12, 1-4 WCC) drove in their only run of the game on an RBI double from Kyle Cortopassi in the second to score Ryan Budnick, who doubled earlier in the inning. Santa Clara put two runners on base through the final seven innings. Jose Vizcaino, Jr. produced the only other Bronco hit of the afternoon with a first-inning single.

San Diego scored one run in the third and added two more on extra base hits in the fifth; Riley Adams homered to left and Aiden Stinnett hit a two-run double to the right-center gap to make the score 6-1. In the seventh, Austin Bailey hit an RBI single to center and Bryson Brigman followed with a two-run single through the left side as part of a four-run frame that gave the Toreros a 10-1 lead.
