    In its final spring game of the 2015 season, Santa Clara men’s soccer topped San Francisco City United by a final of 4-0. The Broncos got goals from Alfie Edmonds, Carlos Delgadillo, and Dylan Autran.

    In the second to last spring game of the season, Santa Clara men’s soccer beat UC Davis 3-1 on May 9. The Broncos got two goals from Steve Eneme and one from Carlos Delgadillo.

    In the third spring game of the season, Santa Clara men’s soccer traveled to Santa Barbara to take on the Gauchos. A late goal sank the Broncos but head coach Cameron Rast was still happy with the team’s performance.

  • Men's Soccer Ties San Jose State in First Spring Match

    Santa Clara men's soccer played its first spring game of the season on April 11 at San Jose State. The Broncos and Spartans tied 3-3. Alfred Edmonds, Edson Cardona, and Steve Eneme scored goals for the Broncos. Carlos Delgadillo was taken down in the box for a penalty kick that was converted by Cardona.

    Former Santa Clara men’s soccer goalkeeper Larry Jackson has signed with the Wilmington Hammerheads of the United Soccer League. Jackson was named the 2012 West Coast Conference Goalie of the Year at Santa Clara and to the 2012 Continental Tires NSCAA All-Far West Region Third Team.
  • Hanley Signs with Finnish Professional Team

    Former Santa Clara men’s soccer player Harrison Hanley has signed with Mikkelin Palloilijat in Finland. Hanley was Second Team All-WCC and College Sports Madness WCC Second Team as a senior in 2013. That season he appeared in all 20 Bronco games and made 17 starts.

Although he was unable to physically play with the team, he learned a lot watching the team practice and work together as a unit. With the help of senior mentors on the team, Jarrett looks forward to next season and hopefully helping the team compete in the NCAA Tournament in 2015.   • Moving Forward with Steve Eneme

    After a devastating injury his freshman year led Steve Eneme (SE) to utilize his redshirt season, Eneme is now coming off a stellar fall season and already looking forward to his next. Eneme took advantage of his time off the field during his freshman year to work on analyzing the game from a coach’s standpoint. That experience, as well as his grueling rehabilitation, eventually led to Eneme earning a spot on the WCC All-Freshman Team in 2014. Santa Clara Broncos (SCB) talked with the redshirt freshman about his SCU experience thus far.

  • Six Broncos Receive All-WCC Team Honors

    Six players on the Santa Clara men’s soccer team were named to the All-West Coast Conference Men’s Soccer Teams. Ryan Masch and Kendall McIntosh picked up All-WCC Second Team honors while Carlos Delgadillo and Steve Eneme made the All-WCC Freshman Team. In addition, several Broncos also were Honorable Mentions, including Valdemar Andersen, Max Ornstil, Delgadillo and Eneme.
  • Men's Soccer Falls in Final Match of the Season

    In the final match of the 2014 regular season, the Santa Clara men’s soccer team fell to the San Francisco Dons, 0-2. The Broncos wrap up the regular season 6-9-4 overall and 2-4-1 in the West Coast Conference while the Dons improve to 11-6-2 overall and 5-2 in the WCC.
  • Seven Men's Soccer Players Honored for Work in the Classroom

    Santa Clara men’s soccer had seven players recognized on the 2014 West Coast Conference Men’s Soccer All-Academic Team. Kendall McIntosh and Glenn Vass were named to the team while Brennan Castro, Matt Escobar, Parker Holland, Victor Magana and Max Ornstil honorable mentions.
  • Late Goal Not Enough to Top Saint Mary's
    November 13, 2014
    Down a goal with less than a minute to play in regulation, the Santa Clara men’s soccer team was able to send the match against Saint Mary’s into overtime off of a header by Matt Escobar with nine seconds remaining. The Broncos then fell to the Gaels in the first overtime, 2-1.
  • Men's Soccer Heads into Final Two Matches

    The Broncos (6-7-4, 2-2-1 WCC) travel just a short distance to Bay Area rival Saint Mary’s on Thurs., Nov. 13 at 2 p.m. Then, the team heads into San Francisco, Calif. on Sat., Nov. 15 to take on another local opponent, USF, at 7 p.m.
