"I am so proud of Taylor and Kaci for being named to the NGCA All-Scholar Team," said Santa Clara women's golf head coach Krystal Kelly. "This is a challenging award to receive. They both have demonstrated that they can perform in the classroom and on the golf course.

Camany, who is studying accounting in the Leavey School of Business, continued to tally awards during her sophomore campaign. She finished her sophomore year with a 3.57 GPA. In addition to her Academic All-American honor, the native of Salinas, Calif. was named First Team All-WCC, as well as earning a spot on the WCC All-Academic Team. Her sophomore season was highlighted by winning the Santa Clara Colby Invitational with round of 74 and 75. As a freshman, Camany was named All-WCC Honorable Mention.

McCartan just finished her freshman year on the Mission Campus studying in the School of Engineering. She finished her academic year with a 3.74 GPA. During her first season as a Bronco, McCartan competed in eight events for Santa Clara. Her top finish was a tie for 11th at the Santa Clara Colby Invitational. The native of Plano, Texas shot her best round of the season, a 72, at the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic.

"These two student athletes go above and beyond on so many levels," said Kelly. "For Taylor, we set this goal back in September, so its great to see her come through and accomplish this. Kaci has had a fantastic first year at Santa Clara. She is in the honors program in the engineering school. Her last two quarters her GPA was 3.9 and 3.8. I couldn't be more proud! Congratulations to them and their families."
