Meeting Scheduled for Tuesday, September 20 at 3 p.m. at SCU's Leavey Center

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - The Santa Clara University softball team will host a meeting on Tuesday, September 20 at 3 p.m. for SCU students who plan to try-out for the 2011-12 team. A two-day on-field tryout is scheduled for Friday, September 30 at 3 p.m. and Saturday, October 1 at 9 a.m.

The mandatory meeting will be held in the Castruccio Room behind the west side bleachers at SCU's Leavey Center, 500 El Camino Real, Santa Clara campus. Prospective student-athletes should bring a print out of their fall class schedules to the meeting.

All interested participants must present a current physical, be enrolled full-time during the fall quarter at Santa Clara (minimum 12 units), have registered with the NCAA eligibility center and complete all the necessary sport medicine forms prior to tryouts.

Each student must complete and turn in all forms on the day of the meeting. For those who attend the meeting and are cleared to participate, the tryouts will take place that weekend on SCU's Bellomy Field, 500 El Camino Real, Santa Clara campus.
