SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara Athletics continued its strong academic success during the fall quarter.
The 398 Broncos posted a cumulative GPA across all sports of 3.46, led by a 3.72 term GPA from women's basketball.
Tennis led the way on the men's side at 3.49, just ahead of soccer (3.45), golf (3.35), baseball (3.35) and water polo (3.34). Rounding out the top five for the women were beach volleyball at 3.69, tennis (3.67), golf (3.66) and soccer (3.58).
The quarter highlights included:
- 342 student-athletes with a 3.0 or higher GPA for the term
- 213 student-athletes with a 3.5 or higher GPA for the term
- 112 student-athletes with a 3.8 or higher GPA for the term
- 66 student-athletes with a 4.0 GPA for the term
At the conclusion of the fall quarter, 175 student-athletes had a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher.
