Harvey Student-Athlete Spotlight (June 25, 2020)

A third-year member of the program …has played in 18 career events with a scoring average of 73.76 … has five top 20 finishes, including two in the top 10 … has 10 rounds under par and six at par.

AS A JUNIOR (2019-20): Competed in six events … posted a 72.17 scoring average, second best on the team … had three top 20 showings … tied for 10th place at the Firestone Invitational (Sept. 30-Oct. 1), posting a 1-under 215 (72-75-68) … shot a collegiate best 5-under 208 (70-65-73) to tie for 20th at the Alister MacKenzie Invitational (Oct. 7-8) … tied for 15th at the Visit Stockton Pacific Invitational (Oct. 21-23), posting a 2-under 214 (71-71-72).

AS A SOPHOMORE (2018-19): Competed in nine events … posted a 74.85 scoring average … had a collegiate-best tie for seventh finish at the Inverness Intercollegiate (Sept. 23-25), shooting 4-over 217 (71-75-71) … shot a collegiate best even-par 213 (74-73-66) at the Alister Mackenzie Invitational (Oct. 8-9) … tied for 20th at the Olympic Club Intercollegiate (March 11-12), helping the Broncos to a third-place finish.

AS A FRESHMAN (2017-18): Played in three events … achieved a scoring average of 73.67 … posted his collegiate best in the first round (69) of The Jackrabbit (Oct. 1-3) … competed in the Alister MacKenzie Invitational (Oct. 9-10), where he posted a 70 in the second round en route to a 11-over 227.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played at Bellarmine College Preparatory (Calif.) under coach Louis Agelson … led his team to 2015 and 2016 WCAL, CCS, and NORCAL championships … helped his team finish fourth at the CIF state championship in 2015 and third in 2016 … won the 2016 WCAL Tournament and placed eighth individually at the 2016 CIF state championship … selected to the All-WCAL team in 2015 and 2016.

PERSONAL: Born and raised in San Jose, California … parents are Jonathan and Virginia Harvey who both graduated from Santa Clara … father is the vice president of Devcon Construction and played lacrosse at SCU … has one younger brother, Louis, and a younger sister, Sophie … enjoys playing basketball, ping-pong and other sports in his free time as well as working out … a finance major in the Leavey School of Business.
