AS A SENIOR IN 2018-19: Named All-WCC Singles First Team for the second consecutive season and the third all-conference accolade of his career ... posted a 15-10 singles and 18-15 doubles record. FALL: Had a 4-2 singles and 5-4 doubles record, all while teamed up with Vasileios Iliopoulos. SPRING: Finished with an 11-8 singles record and played the last 16 matches at the No. 1 position ... had a 6-6 record at No. 1 and 5-2 at No. 2 ... beat Pacific's Ross Watson 6-3, 4-6, 6-3 to clinch the come-from-behind 4-3 win to give the Broncos its first conference win of the season ... posted a 13-11 doubles record, all at the No. 1 position ... 10-5 while paired with Robert Seby and 3-6 with Jesus Tapiador Barajas ... had a team-high six conference doubles wins, all with Seby.

AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2016-17: Named to the All-WCC Singles Second Team. FALL: Posted the best record on the team at 5-3, including winning his last three matches ... Teamed with Vasileios Iliopoulos in doubles play and went 3-2 ... Finished the fall season at the Saint Mary's Invitational winning each of his four (two singles and two doubles) matches. SPRING: Gu went 13-5 in singles play during dual action, going 13-4 on court two and 0-1 on court one ... began the season partnering with Vasileios Iliopoulos in doubles play and the duo went 4-3 on court two ... Gu then played with Kamran Khan and went 5-5 on court three.
AS A FRESHMAN IN 2015-16: SINGLES: finished with a 13-9 record on the season ... 11-8 mark in dual match play ... scored his first collegiate victory after downing Alex Hunt from Saint Mary's by a score of 6-4, 6-4 on October 2 ... outlasted No. 66 Fresno State's Youssef Hassan 6-3, 2-6, 7-6 on January 30 ... rallied to take down No. 59 Arkansas' Giammarco Micolani 2-6, 7-6, 1-0(10-7) on February 21 ... clinched the match against UMKC on February 27 after taking down Uldis Gaismins 4-6, 6-1, 6-4 ... clinched Santa Clara's 4-0 win over Hawaii on March 12 with a 6-3, 6-3 victory over Igor Kolaric.
