SANTA CLARA, Calif. – After multiple rain postponements, Santa Clara men's tennis finally played its first match since Feb. 23 but showed no ill effects to roll past Army, 7-0 on Monday.

Santa Clara (7-3) endured a cancellation and three postponements in the last two weeks including the match against Army that was originally scheduled for last Saturday.

The Broncos dominated play to win all nine matches and dropped just one set in the process with the match clincher by Robert Seby over Alejandro Quiros, 6-2, 6-2 on court five.

Broncos head coach Niall Angus mixed up the doubles teams to pair Jesus Tapiador Barajas with Santiago Hinojosa and also Andrew Gu with Robert Seby for the first time this season with positive results.

Gu and Seby beat Army's No. 1 tandem, Myles Conlin and Nikita Larichev, 6-4 to clinch the doubles point after Tapiador Barajas and Hinojosa defeated Diego Huttepain and Alejandro Quiros, 6-3 on court three.

The number two doubles team of Arthur Neuhaus and Vasileios Iliopoulos took down David Gorshein and David Mitchell 7-6 (7-1) as the two schools elected to play out all its matches.

In singles play, Tapiador Barajas beat Huttepain, 6-1, 6-2 to earn the second point for the Broncos, followed by Connor Garnett's straight set win over Mitchell, 6-4, 6-1 before Seby's match clincher.
