SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara men's tennis released its 2018-19 schedule highlighted by 14 home matches. Men's tennis head coach Niall Angus made the announcement.
Last season, the Broncos played 10 matches at Degheri Tennis Center on the Mission Campus, winning nine of them en route to a 13-11 season.
The fall campaign will consist of three tournaments starting with the Aggie Invitational in Davis, California, from Sept. 28 – 30. Santa Clara then travels to Seattle to play at the USTA/ITA Northwest Regional Championships (Oct. 11 – 15) before concluding the fall season at the Saint Mary's Invitational in Moraga, California.
The dual match season kicks off on Jan. 15 at Stanford, which finished last season ranked No. 7 in the final ITA rankings. After nearly a two-week break, Santa Clara hosts its first home match on Jan. 27 against UC Santa Cruz and Sonoma State.
The Broncos then hit the road on back-to-back weekends returning to Seattle to play Liberty (Feb. 2) and Washington (Feb. 3) followed a trip to Utah State (Feb. 8) and BYU (Feb. 9) to open West Coast Conference play.
Twelve of the final 17 matches will be played at home including five of eight conference matches - Portland (March 29), Gonzaga (March 30), San Francisco (April 13), LMU (April 19) and Pepperdine (April 20).
