SANTA CLARA, Calif. - An abbreviated regular season for Santa Clara men's water polo comes to a close on Saturday.
The Broncos (1-1) will play a pair of games at San Jose State. Santa Clara will face the Spartans at 10 a.m., followed by a meeting with Cuesta College at noon.
Santa Clara and San Jose State have split their previous two meetings this season. The Broncos prevailed 11-10 in the season opener before the Spartans won the rematch, 9-4.
Matt Peterson and Cody Ferguson lead the Broncos with four goals apiece. Dominick Kirk has a pair.
Jake Taylor is the top distributor with four assists. Kirk and Blake D'Souza each have three assists.
Ferguson has drawn a team-high five kickouts.
