Aozasa, Henninger Selected To CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District Second Team

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Junior defender Margueritte Aozasa and junior goalkeeper Bianca Henninger were selected to the CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District second team this week.

Aozasa carries a 3.90 cumulative grade-point-average as a psychology major.  Henninger has posted a 3.65 GPA in accounting.  Both players have started every game so far and are a part of the Bronco defense that has shutout eight opponents this season and posted a 0.67 goals-against-average.

Individually, Aozasa, a center back, has scored two goals.  Henninger sports a 0.63 GAA, a .854 save percentage, and seven shutouts.

Deserving student-athletes are nominated by and voted on by members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) association within their own district.  To be nominated, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.30 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at her current institution. In addition, nominated student-athletes must have participated in at least 50 percent of the team's matches at their respective positions.  Those that are selected to the all-district first teams will be voted on again by CoSIDA members to determine the Academic All-America teams.
