The Broncos' match versus Cal Poly has been postponed indefinitely due to inclement weather. No new date has been announced at this time. The Broncos will play Loyola Marymount on Sunday as scheduled.
SANTA CLARA, Calif.- The Santa Clara women's tennis team will head onto the road once again, taking on Loyola Marymount on Sunday at 11:00 a.m. The Broncos are 1-1 this season and 0-1 in the WCC after last weekend's 4-3 loss to San Francisco.
Loyola Marymount will open their season against Santa Clara and was picked to finish fourth place in the WCC preseason poll. In their last outing against the Lions, the Broncos lost 4-0 in the 2008 WCC tournament on April 21, 2008.
"Loyola Marymount is a big match for us in the conference since it will be a factor in how we are seeded for the WCC tournament," said Cabell. "We haven't beaten them in a few years, but I think we can do well. We played a very hard match against San Francisco and that gives us a lot of confidence about this match-up against LMU."
