Santa Clara, California- The Broncos will travel to Pullman, Washington to play Washington State Friday February 11th at 12:00 p.m., Gonzaga the following day at 3:00 p.m. and Kansas on Sunday at 9:00 a.m.
Coach Cabell on the road trip: "This is a really big trip for us since Washington State just dipped into the rankings. If we beat them we think we can solidify our spot in the top 75. All three matches will be extremely tough, but we couldn't have set ourselves up any better than we have by going 6-0. We are going in to this trip confident and excited to play."
On Washington State: Junior Elisabeth Fournier and sophomore Liudmila Vasilieva each finished the 2010 season with top 65 national rankings, and this season fresh off their upset victory over No. 73 BYU, the Cougars will be tough to beat.
On Gonzaga: The Zags were picked to finish last in the preseason WCC coaches' poll, but seniors Rika Mehndiratta and Clare Dodge both posted wins over tough Montana State opponents and will be eager to post their first WCC win.
On Kansas: The Jayhawks boast three Academic All-Big 12 First Team players, and consistently play against nationally ranked opponents. This will be the team's second trip to California after playing in the San Diego State Fall Tournament, and their experience against competitive players will certainly offer the Broncos a challenge.
Check back in over the weekend for results.
Go Broncos!
