SAN DIEGO, Calif. – Friday afternoon the No. 47-ranked Santa Clara Bronco men's tennis team defeated rival San Francisco in the second round of the West Coast Conference tournament, 4-1. With the win, SCU improves to 15-7 on the season, 4-2 in WCC play.

The Broncos advance to the WCC Championship for the second straight season. Santa Clara will be playing in the finals Sat., Apr. 23, at 11:30 a.m. versus tournament host and nationally ranked No. 34 San Diego Toreros, who are the top seed.

"Our team rebounded well after we lost the doubles point," said head coach Derek Mills. "We know we are the underdog tomorrow but we are going to give it our best shot."

In singles, SCU bounced back confidently when Maxime Armengaud, Tom Pham, Nicolas Vinel and Keith Kamono topped their opponents at the No. 2, 4, 5, and 6 positions, respectively, while Kyle Dandan and Lamble were leading in their match at the No. 1 and 3 spots.
