WHITTIER, Calif. – On the final day of the season, No. 19 Santa Clara men's water polo fell to Pomona-Pitzer to finish in sixth place at the WWPA's. Santa Clara finishes its season with an overall record of 10-20 and 6-9 in conference play.

The Bronco offense was lead by Chase Schaaf, Evan Chang, Jimmy Moore, Theo Nasser and Mark Davis who each scored two goals. Matt Kochalko had the other Santa Clara goal on the day. Kyle Nadel had three assists while Kochalko added two. Nasser led the way with three earned ejections and Moore had two. Chang, Schaaf and Nadel each added one earned ejection apiece. In net John Nash collected six blocks in his final collegiate game and Matt Pritchett had three.

"It was definitely a tough loss to finish the season," said Santa Clara head coach Keith Wilbur. "We didn't start out the game strong but we were able to make a run at the end. We were down by three and tied it up but they scored a goal in the last minute to win it. It was disappointing to lose a game like that to end the year."

Pomona-Pitzer lead 4-3 after the first quarter and took a 7-4 lead into halftime. The Broncos played to a 3-3 tie in the third quarter and tied the score in the fourth but a goal in the last minute gave the game to Pomona-Pitzer by a final of 12-11.
