Baseball to Host Alumni Game Friday, Fundraiser Dinner with Keynote Speaker Kuiper Saturday

SANTA CLARA, Calif. — Santa Clara baseball is set to host three events this weekend to finish up its fall schedule. On Friday, the Broncos play an alumni game with a 7 p.m. first pitch at Schott Stadium. On Saturday, the Broncos face Cal Poly in an exhibition contest at noon and host a fundraiser dinner at 6:30 p.m.

Saturday's dinner features keynote speaker Duane Kuiper, a seven-time Emmy award-winning broadcaster for the San Francisco Giants. Kuiper played 12 seasons of Major League Baseball with the Giants and Cleveland Indians.

"I love this time of year," head coach Dan O'Brien said. "Our team has worked hard all fall and now gets to compete against another team, the alumni are in town for an alumni game and BBQ, our parents are here for our annual parent meeting, and we wrap it all up with our fundraising event Saturday night with a great dinner and guest speaker for our Bronco Baseball family to all enjoy. It doesn't get much better than that. It's going to be a great weekend."
