Brownridge, Feagin Earn All-WCC Honors

SAN BRUNO, Calif.The West Coast Conference announced its men's basketball postseason honors and a pair of Santa Clara players earned accolades.

Jared Brownridge was voted first-team All-WCC and KJ Feagin secured a spot on the all-freshman team.

Brownridge, who ranks second in the league and 25th nationally in scoring (20.3 points per game), made the first team for the second-straight year, the first Santa Clara player to earn back-to-back selections since John Bryant (2007-08 and 2008-09).

A junior guard, Brownridge ranks seventh on the school's all-time scoring list (1,686 points) and is one of only four players in the nation this season to rank among the top 45 in both 3-pointers and made free throws. He is 24th on the 3-pointers list (88) and 41st in free throws (150).

Feagin, a 6-foot-1 guard, emerged as a key contributor, ranking second on the team in scoring (11.4 ppg), first in assists (3.8 pg) and second in minutes played (30.8 pg).

He ranks 21st in the WCC in scoring (second among freshmen) and ninth in assists (second among freshmen). Feagin ranks No. 3 on the Santa Clara all-time freshman assist list (115).

Under head coach Kerry Keating, eight players have earned a spot on the WCC All-Freshman team, including current members Brownridge (2013-14) and Matt Hubbard (2014-15).

The Broncos (11-19, 7-11) are seeded No. 6 in the WCC Tournament and will play third-seeded BYU (22-9, 13-5) at 1 p.m. Saturday in Las Vegas.
