Larry Jackson, Erik Hurtado Both Garner National Attention Following Third-Straight Shutout Win

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara University goalkeeper Larry Jackson has helped the Broncos post three consecutive shutout victories, and four-straight wins overall. On Monday, CollegeSportsMadness.com named Jackson its West Coast Player of the Week.

Jackson had eight saves this weekend, keeping preseason WCC favorite San Diego and LMU off the scoreboard en route to a pair of SCU wins. The points were important for a Bronco team that began the season 1-4-0, but is now off to a 2-0-0 start in league play.

The senior from nearby East Palo Alto earned a 5-1-1 record in seven starts last season and was tabbed as an All-WCC Honorable Mention pick. This season Jackson is 5-3-0 and his three shutouts bring his career total to 10 in 29 starts.
