SANTA CLARA, Calif.Harrison Hanley (HH), a junior from Oak Park, Calif. has been a big part of the men's soccer team here at Santa Clara University. This season he helped SCU go 11-6-2 overall and 8-2-2 in WCC play. SantaClaraBroncos.com (SCB) was fortunate enough to sit down with Hanley and discuss his hopes for his final season here as well as his experience with fellow teammates.

SCB: Scoring five out of seven goals, starting in two key games for WCC (USF and USD), and an assist against your victory over Stanford you seemed to have had an overall good season, anything you want to get better on for your last season at Santa Clara?

HH: I think just creating more chances and finishing those chances to help the team win is most important. The more opportunities we can create will give us a better chance to win games.

SCB: You guys came close to having the best WCC record this season but fell short to USD, what are your hopes for next season?

HH: Well winning conference and getting into the NCAA tournament has always been an important goal for us. We have a young group right now that's very close and I think we have the ability to hopefully reach the Final Four if we continue to work hard and integrate the incoming class.

SCB: How does it feel playing with your former teammate, Eric Hurtado, who is now playing professionally with the Vancouver Whitecaps?

HH: It was awesome playing with Hurtado and then seeing him achieve his goal by reaching the MLS. Most of us have higher aspirations of playing professionally so it was cool to see him make it.

SCB: What are your goals after you graduate and finish playing next year? Any plans on hoping to go pro?

HH: I would love to play professionally but first I want to graduate just to have something to fall back on. When I'm done with soccer then I'll probably look into film or music with my communications degree; but soccer has been such a huge part of my life so it might be awhile before I want to do anything else.
