Men's Tennis To Take on No. 46 Fresno State, Reschedule Nevada Match

Feb. 3, 2010

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - This Friday, Feb. 5, the Santa Clara men's tennis team was scheduled to host Nevada at the Degheri Tennis Center, but due the threat of inclement weather, the match has been canceled and has yet to be rescheduled. The Broncos will be back in action on Sunday, Feb. 7, as they travel to Fresno State to take on the red hot Bulldogs.

The Broncos are coming off of a big 6-1 victory over Cal Poly, but they face a currently undefeated Fresno State team that is coming off of wins versus two top 30 programs in Texas A&M and Rice. Before hosting Santa Clara, the Bulldogs will travel to Berkeley to take on the Cal Golden Bears.

"Fresno State is on fire right now," said Bronco head coach Derek Mill. "They are one of the top teams in the country right now and we will definitely have our hands full on Sunday. This match is going to be a great opportunity for our guys to get to the next level and get a signature win. We are really looking forward to Sunday."

The Fresno State match will begin a three match road trip for Santa Clara. After taking on the Bulldogs on Feb. 5, SCU travels to Las Vegas to play Idaho and No. 75 UNLV on Feb. 13 and 14.

Action begins at Fresno State at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 5.
