Women's Basketball Returns Home for San Francisco Thursday

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – After a completing a three-game road trip, Santa Clara women's basketball returns home to face San Francisco Thursday at 7 p.m.

Last week, the Broncos fell at Saint Mary's and BYU.

SERIES HISTORY
Santa Clara is 61-37 all-time against San Francisco with the first meeting coming in 1964-65. Last year the two teams split the season series with each picking up a win at home.

THE BRONCOS
Santa Clara (5-12, 1-5 WCC) leads the West Coast Conference in scoring defense (57.6 points per game) and steals (9.7 pg) while forcing 17.1 turnovers per game.

Morgan McGwire leads the team with 10.3 ppg, 8.6 rebounds per game and 2.3 steals per game and is second in the conference with 1.8 blocks per game. Kyla Martin averages a team-best 4.8 assists per game while scoring 8.8 ppg. Taylor Berry is second in rebounding with 6.9 pg and adds 8.2 ppg. Ashlyn Herlihy is second in scoring with 9.6 ppg and adds 5.1 rpg but has missed the last three games with an injury.

THE DONS
San Francisco (8-9, 3-3 WCC) scored 68.9 ppg as a team on 41.1-percent shooting from the field and 31.0-percent from beyond the arc.

Anna Seilund leads the Dons with 15.4 ppg and has hit a team-high 28 3-pointers. She also leads with 4.9 apg and adds 4.4 rpg. Michaela Rakova is second in the league with 9.2 rpg and second on San Francisco with 11.2 ppg.Kalyn Simon adds 9.9 ppg with Shannon Powell chipping in 9.7

Group discounts are also available through our ticket office sales and service consultants. Doors to Leavey Center, as well as its ticket office, are open one hour prior to the start of the game.

Promotions: Ruff Riders can get their ticket for the men's basketball game vs. Gonzaga Saturday at the game on Thursday. Vouchers will be handed out until the end of the first quarter and tickets will be distributed at the end of the game.

Parking: For weekday games, the Leavey Center lot, located on Accolti Way off El Camino Real, is free beginning one hour prior to tipoff. Any other parking facility on campus will be subject to normal daily rates or restrictions, including the main structure, located on Palm Drive.
