PRINCETON, N.J. – Santa Clara women's rower Trinity Billingslea was one of 46 rowers selected to camp for the US National Team U23 squad. She was the lone rower from a West Coast Conference school to be invited.
The athletes would have vied for a spot on the national team that would have competed at the 2020 World Rowing Under 23 Championships in August in Bed, Slovenia, but the year's racing schedule was canceled due to COVID-19.
Billingslea, a junior hailing from Santa Clara, has been an important part of the Broncos during the last three seasons, usually sitting in the 4 seat.
