LOS ANGELES - Santa Clara University softball pitcher Jaime Forman-Lau earned her fifth league honor of the season as this week's selection as the Pacific Coast Softball Conference's Pitcher of the Week.

Forman-Lau, a junior, threw the first perfect game in PCSC and Santa Clara softball history, as she led the Broncos to a 6-0 victory over San Diego on Saturday. Forman-Lau struck out 14 Toreros in the historic outing, improving her record to 15-10. Forman Lau also shut out the Toreros 3-0 in the first game of the weekend series on Friday. She went 2-1 on the week as she took the loss against seventh-ranked California. She only allowed six hits on the week, five of those going to the Bears. She struck out 25 and finished with an 1.45 ERA.

The PCSC is in its inaugural season, and made Forman-Lau the first to earn pitcher of the week honors in league history with her Feb. 5 selection. She repeated the recognition on Feb. 12, March 18 and April 8. The conference is comprised of six schools: Sacramento State, Loyola Marymount, Portland State, Saint Mary's, Santa Clara, and San Diego. Prior to joining the PCSC, Santa Clara was a member of the Western Athletic Conference.

The Broncos are 24-19 on the season, and tied for first with a 6-2 conference mark. Santa Clara will break from conference action with a doubleheader against Bay Area neighbor and 13th-ranked Stanford this evening. First pitch at the Boyd and Jill Smith Family Stadium is at 5 p.m. The Broncos will then make up a game against Saint Mary's on Thursday that was postponed April 12 due to rain. That doubleheader will take place in Moraga at 2 p.m.
