Santa Clara, Calif.—With the highest ranking in the program's history to date, the No. 51 Santa Clara women's tennis team looks to improve its three-match winning streak against two Northern California programs this weekend.
The Broncos (6-2) host their first West Coast Conference opponent, the University of San Francisco (1-4), on Fri., Mar. 2 at 2:00 p.m. and then travel to Fresno, Calif. on Sun., Mar. 4 to take on Fresno State (2-5) at 5:00 p.m.
Santa Clara enters the weekend after defeating two ranked opponents on its home court. The Broncos edged out then-No. 68 UC Davis 4-3 on Feb. 18 and swept then-No. 65 UC Santa Barbara 7-0 on Feb. 20. After two weeks off from match competition, the women are ready to take the momentum from the previous weekend's two solid wins and put it towards focusing on their first WCC match.
