• The Broncos took two of three from San Diego last weekend before falling to San Jose State Monday.
• Santa Clara is hitting .272/.391/.454 as a team with 132 runs scored on 38 doubles, five triples, and 25 home runs.
• Dawson Brigman's .316 batting average leads the team and he has added a .436 OBP and a .579 slugging percentage while hitting three home runs, three triples, and five doubles with a team-high tying 19 runs scored and 12 RBIs. Efrain Manzo leads the team in doubles with eight and is tied for the team lead with six home runs while slashing .307/.430/.653, with his slugging also leading the team. Coleman Brigman has a team-best eight steals with four home runs, 17 RBIs, and 16 runs scored with a line of .309/.404/.519. Robert Hipwell leads the way in OBP with a .477 mark thanks to a team best 23 walks. He is tied with Manzo with six home runs and has scored a team leading 19 times.
• On the mound, Santa Clara has a 4.33 ERA, with 196 strikeouts against 75 walks in 183 innings.
• Cole Kitchen's 33 1/3 innings lead the team and he has punched out 32. He is also tied for the team lead with three wins while posting a 3.24 ERA. Brandon Gomez also has 29 punch outs in 27 1/3 innings and three wins with a 2.63 ERA. Skylar Hales has a team high 33 strikeouts in 22 innings and a 2.86 ERA. Blake Hammond has a 1.12 ERA in 16 innings with 23 strikeouts and Nick Sando has struck out 21 in 17 innings.
• Brandon Gomez was named WCC co-Pitcher of the Week on March 20, giving the Broncos three-straight honors.
• Santa Clara swept the WCC weekly awards on March 13 with Efrain Manzo being named the Player of the Week and Skylar Hales the Pitcher of the Week.
• Cole Kitchen was named the WCC Pitcher of the Week on March 6.
• Santa Clara knocked off No. 2 Stanford on the road March 7.
• It was the Broncos first win over Stanford since the finale of a four-game series in 2021. Santa Clara's last midweek win over the Cardinal came in 2016 and the last win in Palo Alto came in 2015.
• The Broncos 2022 recruiting class was top-65 according to Perfect Game and tops in the WCC. Twelve join the team as freshman with five transferring in.
• The renovations at Schott Stadium are complete. The renovations include a completely new turn playing surface, padded fence around the stadium, a new batter's eye, all new chair back seats inside the stadium, and a remodel of the VIP Suite and press box.
