Men’s Basketball Plays Wisconsin-Milwaukee Sunday in Final Game of Cable Car Classic

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - The Santa Clara men's basketball team looks to close the 49th Annual Cable Car Classic on a high note when it entertains Wisconsin-Milwaukee at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in Leavey Center.

Milwaukee (2-0) has won both its games in the three-day, round-robin tournament that began Friday.

The Broncos and Panthers have met just once, In 2003, the Panthers lost 70-64 to Santa Clara in the first round of the Cable Car Classic before defeating Idaho State, 85-70, in the consolation game.

Denver and Lipscomb, which round out the field, play at noon Sunday.

The Broncos (0-2) were knocked off 55-33 Saturday night by Denver, which was supported by a hot-shooting night from senior guard Nate Engesser (18 points on 6 of 10 three-pointers) and a smothering defense that limited Santa Clara to just 23 percent shooting from the field.

Junior guard Jared Brownridge is averaging 17.0 points in his first two games. Junior forward Nate Kratch is collecting a team-best 7.5 rebounds per contest and freshman guard Matt Hauser a team-leading 3.5 assists pg.

The ticket office is also open one hour prior to the first game.

Parking: There are two venues available for gameday parking. The campus parking structure is located just inside the main campus entrance off El Camino Real. The Leavey Center parking lot also has a limited number of spaces. Gameday parking is $10. Click here for a campus map.

Radio/Live Stream: Anthony Passarelli (play-by-play) and John Stege (color) will call the action for the Broncos on KSCU 103.3 FM. The game can be heard over the air or online through tunein. All three Broncos games will also be streamed through TheW.tv using the radio feed.
