WATCH | Highlights, Interviews from San Jose State Victory

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – After a career night in Saturday's victory against San Jose State, Nate Kratch was named the West Coast Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week.

Kratch posted his second double-double in as many games with a career-high 29 points and 12 rebounds to leading Santa Clara to a thrilling 78-75 win vs. the Spartans.

Kratch hit 13 of 15 from the field (86.7 percent), including all eight of his second half attempts and the final three of the game for the Broncos, who won for the second-straight time.

The junior scored three baskets in the final 2:21 of the game. He extended a 70-69 lead with a jumper in the lane and then added a pair of gritty layups, including the winning bucket with 48 seconds on the clock.

Kratch recorded his third career double-double, all coming this season. He had 24 points and 12 rebounds vs. UC Riverside (Nov. 19), and tallied his second (12 points/10 rebounds) in the win vs. Boston College (Nov. 29).

Only 10 players in the NCAA this season have hit a higher percentage in a single game and only one has connected on a better percentage with at least 15 attempts. Evan Bradds of Belmont went 14-for-15 vs. South Alabama on Nov. 23, 2015.

Kratch has connected on 24 of his last 29 field goal attempts (82.8 percent) during the last three games.
