Three SCU Women Earn 2011 All-WCC Honors in Golf

SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Led by senior Miki Ueoka (Lihue, Hawaii/Kauai High School), who placed fifth overall in this week's 2011 West Coast Conference Women's Golf Championships, Santa Clara University had three student-athletes earn all-league honors.

Joining Ueoka among the league's top players, were junior Tamara Surtees (Waikoloa, Hawaii/Hawaii Preparatory Academy) and freshman Taylor Camany (Salinas, Calif./Salinas).

Ueoka earns First Team All-WCC honors for the third straight season. Having qualified for the NCAA Tournament as an individual her sophomore season and winning three collegiate events, she will go down as one of the best women's golfers to ever play at Santa Clara.

Camany shot rounds of 76 and 75 in the first two rounds of the championships and would place 11th overall. Surtees placed 14th.
