SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara women's water polo had eight players named to the 2015 GCC Water Polo All-Academic Team. The team consists of members who carried a 3.0 cumulative GPA, played at lead 50 percent of the team's contests during the spring season and classified as a full-time student who has completed a minimum of one semester or two quarters at her institution. The Broncos honored were Blair Akerland, Ashleigh Bandimere, Kathryn Burke, Cathy Cantoni, Keri Clifford, Julia Peters, Erin Sheridan, and Elle Surber.

"I am glad to see that we had eight players make the GCC All-Academic Team," said Santa Clara head coach Keith Wilbur. "The players on our team take their academics very seriously, and they have shown a great ability to balance their studies with a big time commitment to playing college water polo. They are true student-athletes in every sense of the word."
