Running at Golden Gate Park in the San Francisco State Gator Invitational proved to be the right place for the Bronco women on Friday as the Broncos won the Invitational, defeating WCC foe Saint Mary's and cross-town rival San Jose State.

The Bronco women placed all five scorers in the top 20 with a 33 second spread. Junior Meghan McNamara had her finest race as a Bronco taking seventh place in 22:59 for the challenging 6k race. She was followed closely by freshman Allie Sibole who also ran 22:59. Sophomore Hayley Ney placed 11th  in 23:03. Rounding out the scoring was sophomore Carey Parker in 13th and junior Nicole Giove 19th.

"This was our most successful race of the season as they near championship time," Bronco head coach Tom Service.

On the men's side Coach Montoro rested much of the team as they prepare for the bronco Invitational on Oct 18. The Men were led by Jr. Matt Wagner who ran a very respectable 26:46.

Both teams should be at full strength next week for the Bronco Invitational. It should be an outanding day as the Broncos host about 30 Universities from seven different states.
