SCU To Provide Live Video and Audio For Schott Opener

    SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- Fans who are unable to attend Saturday's historic sold out opening of Stephen Schott Stadium will be able to catch all the festivities live via a video and audio broadcast on Santa Clara University's official athletic website.

    The SCU Bronco baseball team plays the second game of a three-game set against league-leading Gonzaga University beginning at 1 p.m. The final baseball game in venerable Buck Shaw Stadium will take place Friday night at 6 p.m. The series finale will take place Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m. A limited number of tickets are available by clicking here or by calling 408/554-4660. Santa Clara residents receive tickets for half price to Sunday's game through a special promotion with the city of Santa Clara.

    Before Saturday's game, university president Paul Locatelli will bless the field, followed by a first pitch from former Bronco baseball player and lead donor Stephen Schott. In addition, a number of donor recognitions and honoring of Bronco baseball history are planned throughout the game.

    Anthony Passarelli, the voice of Santa Clara's women's basketball broadcasts and a veteran baseball play-by-play announcer, will call Saturday's action beginning at approximately 12:30 p.m.

    Santa Clara will provide a live video feed of each its remaining baseball games in Schott Stadium and the subscription fee for the College Sports Pass will provide coverage of each game throughout the end of the season.
