Kerry Keating, on game: "I am obviously disappointed in the result tonight. We did our job by outrebounding them and I thought if we did that we would win the game. However, we did not take care of the ball well enough to win tonight."
Keating, on assist total: "Having 19 assists on 21 baskets is a pretty amazing statistic. I don't remember a game I have coached with that many assists per basket. What that means is we can execute when we take care of the ball. We need to execute more consistently coming up against Utah and try and get a road win."
Center John Bryant, on game: "Our game plan coming in was to be physical with them. They have a lot of height and they have a lot of good athletes so we needed to counter that by playing hard. We played hard, but they got us out of our sets a bit tonight. They put a lot of pressure on us and you can't win if you turn the ball over that much."
Bryant, on his second half: "Coach told us to get the ball inside in the second half a lot more and try and get their big guys in foul trouble. I was getting some easy baskets that way and I started getting into a rhythm."
Junior Calvin Johnson, on his shooting: "My shots just came through the offense. We set some good screens and guys were finding me so I was just taking the open look."
Johnson, on first and second halves: "We were very focused on getting stops in the first half and keeping them off the scoreboard. We got away from that a little bit in the second half though and they took control. The team needs to get back to what we are known for and that is playing strong defense every game."
