Kerry Keating, on game: "We were coming off a tough game against Nevada, where we had a chance to win, but it got away from us in the second half. We were a lot more solid tonight and we took care of the ball. This was a great road win."
Keating, on second half: "I wrote on the board at halftime, "20 more minutes". Against Nevada, we had a chance to take control of the game in the second half and we didn't do it. Tonight, our guys came out hard in the second half and we set the tone after halftime."
Keating, on play of Bryant and Mbanugo: "John Bryant scored 17 points in only 14 minutes because of foul trouble. He has been very good so far this year. I have to say though that Okechukwu Mbanugo was the biggest key to the game for us tonight though. He played the center spot against a seven-footer in Luke Nevill and he held his own and scored some big baskets for us. He had back-to-back three-point plays to get us started on our 21-4 run. Without Okechukwu, we don't win."
Keating, on defense: "We tried some different defensive schemes to slow them down and we had some success with it tonight. It was another physical game. It was encouraging for us to hold a team like that without a basket for eight minutes. We have to keep playing tough on the road."
Okechukwu Mbanugo, on his contributions: "When John picked up his second foul, I knew that I might have to come in and contribute. I worked hard to try and shut down (Luke) Nevill inside. He is a big guy and he has a great touch around the basket so I just did the best I could. I am glad that I was able to help the team get a big road win like this."
Mbanugo, on back-to-back 3-point plays in second half: "I have to give credit to Brody on those plays. We made eye contact and he made two great passes to get me the shots and I just had to finish them."
