Broncos Drop Match To Loyola Marymount

LOS ANGELES, Calif. - The Santa Clara University men's water polo team was defeated 10-1 Friday against Loyola Marymount in Los Angeles on Friday afternoon. The Broncos drop to 0-2 heading into weekend action.

Senior utility Jon Greco assisted on the only Santa Clara goal of the match, netted by Patrick Noack. Greco also made two steals and had three kickouts in the match. Goalkeepers Michael Petersen and Jon Young split time in the cage for the Broncos, with Petersen making two blocks in the first half while Young took over in the second half and put up three blocks.

Santa Clara returns to action tomorrow in a doubleheader at the Redlands Tournament in Redlands. The Broncos open against Chapman at 10:15 a.m. and close the day's action opposite La Verne at 2 p.m.
