SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. — Santa Clara beach volleyball closed the regular season by dropping a pair of duals on Saturday. The Broncos fell 4-1 against Saint Mary's (RV) and 5-0 against No. 6 Cal Poly at the Swanson Beach Volleyball Complex.
Julia Sangiacomo/Michelle Shaffer won in straight sets on court two for the Broncos (5-5, 3-3 WCC) against the Gaels (9-9, 5-2 WCC). The close dual featured eight of 11 sets decided by four points or fewer.
The nationally-ranked Mustangs (19-8) won in two sets at all five flights.
