SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Coming off an exciting come-from-behind season-opening win on the road, No. 19 Santa Clara women's soccer hosts Cal Monday at 7:30 p.m. in the home-opener.
On Friday night, the Broncos went to San Jose State and came away with a 2-1 despite falling behind midway through the second half.
SERIES HISTORY
Santa Clara is 18-22-7 all-time against Cal with the first meeting coming in 1980. Last year the Broncos dropped a regular season tilt 2-1 but bounced back with a 2-1 win in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. Both games were in Berkeley.

THE BRONCOS
Santa Clara (1-0) outshot San Jose State 21-5 in the first game of the season and held a 7-1 lead in shots on goal.
Maddy Gonzalez found the back of the net twice with Maria Sanchez collecting an assist on the game-winner.
In net, Melissa Lowder got the start and allowed one goal.
THE BEARS
Cal (1-0) topped Utah Valley 3-0 in their season-opener Friday night at home. The Bears outshot Utah Valley 16-8 and held an 8-1 edge in shots on goal.
Abigail Kim, Caroline Clark, and Jordyn Elliott each scored for Cal with Luca Deza, Renee Thomas, and Mia Corbin all picking up an assist.
Olivia Sekany made one save while recording the clean sheet.

Any other parking facility on campus will be subject to normal daily rates or restrictions, including the main structure, located adjacent to Stevens Stadium on Palm Drive.
