SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara softball will play a pair of midweek games before taking the weekend off from competition. The Broncos play at Sacramento State Tuesday at 4 p.m. and host Cal Wednesday at 4 p.m.
Santa Clara won two of three at Pacific in the West Coast Conference opening series over the weekend, including an extra inning win and a game where the Broncos blasted three home runs.
The last time Santa Clara hit three home runs in a game was four years ago to the day, April 11, 2012. The Broncos were also at Pacific and accomplished the feat in both ends of a doubleheader.
