SANTA CLARA, Calif. – The Santa Clara women's water polo team returns home this weekend to play a pair of Golden Coast Conference games, including one against league leader No. 18 San Diego State.
Following five straight games away from home, Santa Clara (8-11, 1-1) faces SDSU (11-13, 3-0) at 4 p.m. on Friday and No. 22 Cal Baptist (19-8, 3-1) at noon on Saturday.
Senior goalkeeper Sydni Estrella has been solid for the Broncos in the net after returning from injury, including an 18-save effort in last week's 8-5 win over Azusa Pacific.
Junior driver Cathy Cantoni has four goals over the last two games and looks to continue her streak this weekend.
Senior Elle Surber leads the Broncos with 32 goals on the season followed by classmate Elizabeth Anderson with 28.
The Broncos remain at Sullivan Aquatic Center to play conference opponent Concordia (Cal.) on Friday, April 15 at 3 p.m.
