SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Looking to make a return to the NCAA tournament, Santa Clara men's soccer announced its 2016 schedule Monday. The Broncos will play a total of 16 games, including five at Stevens Stadium.

The regular season kicks off with a tough road trip on Aug. 26, when Santa Clara visits Wisconsin. Three days later, the Broncos face another Big Ten foe in Northwestern.

The next weekend, the Broncos will play UC Riverside and Cal State Fullerton in Las Vegas. Last season, Santa Clara took down Cal State Fullerton 3-0 on the road in the first round of the NCAA tournament.

The home-opener will be Sept. 10, against UC Irvine, prior to a road swing at SMU (Sept. 16) and Tulsa (Sept. 19).

The nonconference slate wraps up with a home game against San Jose State on Sept. 28, and a contest at UAB on Oct. 4.

On Oct. 9, the Broncos will start the defense of their West Coast Conference crown at San Francisco. The first home league game is Oct. 14, against Gonzaga.

Senior day will be Nov. 6 against LMU with the regular season coming to a close Nov. 12 in San Diego.

The College Cup will be in Houston, Texas, from Dec. 9-11.
