SANTA CLARA, Calif. – In the spring season finale, Santa Clara men's tennis will host San Francisco on Saturday's Senior Day.  Prior to the 1 p.m. first serve, two Bronco graduate students, Vasileios Iliopoulos and Dominic Barretto will be recognized on the Degheri Tennis Center courts at 12:40 p.m.

While only parents and guardians of participating Santa Clara student-athletes granted access to home athletics events, the viewing limitations does not make that feasible at Degheri Tennis Center. Due to a spike in COVID-19 cases with the campus community and despite an improvement, we were unable to allow spectators in Santa Clara venues until this weekend as the priority continues to be the health and safety of our student-athletes, coaches and staff. The university will continue to evaluate policies for access to evens. While the state of California announced guidance for outdoor seated venues on April 1, the university reserves the right to be more cautious than public health guidance.

Santa Clara (7-7, 3-4) has won four of their last five matches including a split over the weekend in Southern California, falling to San Diego in a West Coast Conference match and beating San Diego State in a nonconference contest.

Individually, Barretto moved atop the singles lineup against San Diego State after winning six of his last eight matches and came up with a victory against Aztecs' top player Johannes Seeman 6-2, 7-6 (7-4).

In doubles play, Iliopoulos and Arthur Neuhaus is riding a four-match win streak including one over the No. 77-ranked tandem in the nation, San Diego's August Holmgren and David Norfeldt.

Saturday's contest is San Francisco's (7-8, 2-5) third straight on the road where they are 3-6 this season.
