The Broncos (4-6) exacted some revenge against the Otters (3-12) in the afternoon, beating them 12-8 after falling to them, 11-10, on Jan. 28 in Seaside. The game was a tight one through the first three periods, with the score tied 2-2 after one and Santa Clara holding a two-goal advantage, 6-4, at halftime.

The teams were even again in the third, both scoring three goals. The Broncos pulled away in the fourth period with four more in net against CSUMB's two.

Kate Rodman led the Broncos with three goals. She also added an assist and a steal. Harper Daniels, Elle Fredrickson and Lauren Voss had two goals each. Voss also had a team-high four assists. Georgia Lewis made seven stops in net and also added an assist as the Broncos' goalie.

It was in the third where Marist won the game, outscoring the Broncos, 6-0, in that period alone.

Santa Clara had four multi-goal scorers in the game: Lauren Baglietto, Maddie Clough, Fredrickson and Rodman all had two goals each. Clough led the Broncos with four assists. Frederickson had a team-high two steals. Liyara Senadheera made 10 stops in net for Santa Clara.
