No. 17 Hoosiers Down Women's Water Polo

SANTA CLARA, Calif. — No. 17 Indiana was strong defensively and pulled away offensively in the fourth period Saturday, defeating the Santa Clara University women's water polo team, 15-1, at Sullivan Aquatic Center.

Lauren Baglietto scored the Broncos' (10-18) lone goal in the fourth period. Maddie Clough, the team leader in assists, tallied another helper on Baglietto's goal at the 5 minutes, 44 seconds mark of the frame. Clough also tied for the game high with two steals.

The No. 17 Hoosiers (17-12) scored goals in all four periods. Santa Clara held Indiana to only one goal in the third, but the Hoosiers bounced back to score a game-high six in the fourth to reach 15 goals for the day. Liyara Senadheera made 13 saves in net for the Broncos and recorded a steal. Indiana was led by three goals from Zoe Crouch.
